In case you haven’t heard the news, the state of Florida (and Orlando in particular) is rapidly emerging from the 2020 COVID pandemic morass. That’s expected to make Orlando a more welcoming destination for both Trade show exhibitors and attendees looking forward to 2021 trade shows.
With his September 25th executive order, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ immediately eased state restrictions on businesses and organizations. It remains to be seen if safety guidelines for specific trade shows will be relaxed. However it does mean that trade show exhibitors and attendees will have greater access to Orlando’s bars, restaurants and attractions.
DeSantis, in “an act of executive grace,” also suspended “all outstanding fines and penalties that have been applied against individuals” associated with pandemic mandates, like mask requirements.
By moving into “Phase Three” of the state’s reopening, DeSantis forecasts a fast return to normal business and leisure activities in the state. “There will not be limitations, from the state of Florida,” he said. The Florida Governor cited the next Super Bowl as an example. He stated he fully expects the state to host a “full Super Bowl” on February 7, 2021.
Here in central Florida we are hoping for many “full” Orlando trade shows, conferences and exhibitions, at Orange County Convention Center, Walt Disney World and beyond
